What would you do in a doggy emergency?

It’s a terrible thought, but what would happen if your lovely pooch was hurt and needed some doggy first aid? Although many of us take first aid courses for humans, not many of us think about this situation. Well if you are concerned about how to care for an injured dog, there is a day course coming up on dog first aid. It’s being run by Pontcanna Dog Walking and is being held on June 6th at St Catherine’s Church Hall, Kings Road, Cardiff.

Here at Cardiff’s best dog grooming salon we think this is a great idea and think everyone should have some idea of how to treat an injured dog. The course is not free, but looks very comprehensive and will cover checking vitals, a full body examination, CPR, bleeding, shock, choking, road accidents, burns and scalds, poisoning, eye injuries, heat stroke and much more!

All of our staff at both our Cardiff and Chepstow dog groomers know plenty about dogs but this course looks like it could really provide some great training for pros and owners alike. If you’re interested, go to the Facebook event page here. Have fun, doggy first aiders!
